On July 19, 2022, the Lao National Single Window system was formally deployed at Savannakhet International Checkpoint to manage the import and export of goods and equipment (including tax-exempt items) at Friendship Bridge II International Checkpoint, Dansavan International Checkpoint, and the Savan-Seno Special Economic Zone customs office (Dry Port). According to official notification No.1885 issued by the Ministry of Finance on July 18, 2022

The system provides a one-stop-shop for economic operators, from permits to ease of payments through BCEL and LDB Bank online applications, including Smart Tax, I-Banking, BCEL One, Corporate Banking, cash, money transfers, and checks.

LNSW is actively working toward implementing its fully digital system across all major international checkpoints in Lao PDR by 2022.
